“How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people!”

ChernobylFascinating and moving (if also rather eerie) page showing photographs of Chernobyl, 20 years after the nuclear disaster.

Though a few people have returned to live in the city, most of the city is unchanged from when it was abandoned. Apart from its gradual, slow decay, some Banksy-style street-art, and the encroachment of the forest (see picture, right), the city is now something of a Soviet Union time-capsule – which seems entirely fitting.
